You Need This Reminder

And I do too.

God loves you - which is pretty surprising. Stop for a moment and be reminded. You were a dirty rotten sinner. You had rebelled for years against God and His perfect design for the world. "Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it" was true about you to your core. But WHILE YOU were still a sinner Christ died for you. He died a horrible, tortured death. And in those instants of His pain God poured out all of the judgement we deserved on Him. He bore in His own body the consequences of our lies, our adultery, our genocide, our selfish parenting. At the cross we see Justice - every sin was paid for. At the cross we see Love - every sinner was welcomed home. So when life isn't Just remember the cross. When God doesn't seem Loving remember the cross. God hates sin - just look at the cross. God loves you - just look at the cross.
